Stretch Goal Spotlight

Hey everyone! As promised, here's an update that shows off some more of the stretch goals, both the unlocked and recently revealed! Please be sure to leave your comments with any questions or feedback! Let's go ahead and dive right in with the first stretch goal, Farther Exploration:
In addition to providing more variety in the Islands and Dimensions a player can explore, the Farther Exploration Stretch Goal also includes locations that have 'Discovery' bonuses. This helps up the competition between players when it comes to exploration, since the first player to discover a location can now receive a benefit that other players cannot, even if they have the location taken away from them!
Now on to the new leaders! New spells, new virtues and completely new play styles or mechanics to diversify your experience.
It's Happening!
While we provide a closer look at how solo mode will work as the campaign continues, here is a quick overview. In all of the solo scenarios, you control a single Kingdom facing off against a Kreesh.
The Kingdom you choose to play as will set your victory conditions, such as gaining X amount of Favor so the gods can save you, or sacrificing a certain amount of Population to fuel a dark ritual.
The Kreesh you choose will set a specific sequence of overarching World Events that will happen, making the game harder the longer it goes on. The Kreesh also come with their own deck of cards which show the specific actions that Kreesh is taking that you have to handle.
How you manage the escalating threat of the Kreesh's presence and how you deal with the randomized Kreesh cards turn-by-turn will determine whether you survive the Age of Kingdoms, or if all the mortal races of Laruna will be crushed underfoot by the Kreesh!
And here's a closer look at the Stretch Goals that have been revealed but are not yet unlocked:

Finally, we just want to extend our thanks again! You guys have been killing it--we've consistently been on the Kicktraq top 10 list, both of the Facebook social achievements are more than halfway complete, and we've been knocking down stretch goals!
The Dawning of a New Age!

Wow! It's only been 24 hours and we're already 95% funded! Seems to me like you're ready to see this project get stretched!
We're off to an amazing start, but as recent play tests of L:AoK have taught us, you must keep fighting until victory is assured!
You all know what to do; keep hitting up Kicktraq, sharing on social media, and telling your friends about this project. It is all a great help!
On our end, we have some more videos that will be hitting the KS page. some live streams that we'll be scheduling soon, and of course, some group video chats.
We'll also dive into more of the strategy of LAOK so you'll be prepared to dominate Laruna in the method of your choosing!
Last but not least, we want to use this first update to say thank you! You'll hear it from us again and again, but only because it's true. Whether you're a returning backer, an old fan, or a new friend, we're glad to have you and thankful for your support. It means everything.
Stretch Goal Unlocked and Upcoming Google Hangout

Hey all!
Just wanted to say great job since we've unlocked the first Stretch Goal! There are a lot of cool stretch goals planned, and as long as we keep at it, we're going to continue to make Laruna: Age of Kingdoms even bigger and better!

The live stream covers a lot of ground, including potential stretch goals, add-ons, and ODAM's general philosophy when it comes to running a Kickstarter and delivering a project.
If you're looking for something a bit more casual, we'll be running a Google Hangouts session this Thursday at 8pm EST. The Google Hangouts allow for a lot more back and forth and direct communication, so they've become a bit of an ODAM tradition. We're also adding a new feature this time around, as we'll have a copy of Age of Kingdoms loaded up into Tabletop Simulator to better show off some specific mechanics and answer your questions.
On another note, we're doing awesome on those social goals! Both BoardGameGeek goals are more than halfway complete, so if you have a BGG account, definitely check out the banners under the social goal graphic to give us a bit of a boost!

Unlocks and Hangouts!

First, a status report: You guys are still awesome! We've unlocked the first 2 stretch goals (the additional Islands and Dimensions, plus the Mirage Leader) and are on our way to the third--the Stormborn Leader! Of course, after the Stormborn is unlocked, there's still more to come!
We've also reached 2 Social Achievements! Laruna: Age of Kingdoms now has 100 fans on BGG and its project image has reached 75 likes! The Kickstarter Exclusive First Player Miniature is getting closer and closer to becoming a reality!
And, of course, there's tonight's Google Hangout! The name is pretty appropriate, as we use these hangouts to let our hair down, share a drink with friends old and new, and have a good time! We'll also have Tabletop Simulator up and running so we can run through some game material, talk about some tactics, and generally have a good time.

Let's Chat! Live Steams and Google Hangouts

So, we're funded and well on our way to the first stretch goal, all in a short couple of days, but there's still plenty to do!
We should chat! Our team will running a Kickstarter live stream on Monday, February 5th at 6pm EST. This will give us a great chance to answer questions for you, all so be sure to submit your inquiries or hop in to chat with us. If you can't make it to the live stream, make sure to click the "Submit a Question" button so your voice can still be heard!
Thursday, February 8th, we will be holding our traditional Google Hangout session where we will be available for more discussion while the team demonstrates game mechanics on Tabletop Simulator. This is always lots of fun and will be a great chance to learn more about Laruna: Age of Kingdoms and dig deeper into specific mechanics. These tend to be a little later in the evening,
Finally, our upcoming $40,000 stretch goal adds new Island and Dimension cards which will bring more diversity to the exploration aspect of game play, so lets make that happen! We'll be sure to give you an update with a more in-depth look of how that improves your game experience once it's unlocked.
